Changes like this show more responsibility lie with the business owner. You need to make everything count. Your local SEO must make more impact than it ever did before.

1) Do you pay attention to your meta tags or titles? You need to optimize both. You will give your target audience of what you offer. You will also be putting your content in front of the right eyes.

2) Your information needs to be accurate. Your business needs to be in the directory under the right group. Your contact information needs to be up-to-date. You need to be included in your local Chamber of Commerce page. You need to be legitimate and focused. If you do not offer proof of your SEO, your content is going to be irrelevant.

3) You need to be optimized for smartphones and other mobile devices. Online users are doing more mobile searches. Your business and SEO brand need to be mobile-friendly, or you will not be seen.

4) You need to be in the 3-pack. The 3-pack consists of your business and its location, reviews left by customers, and a description of what you offer. If your business does not offer this 3-pack, then your customers will need to put more effort into finding you. The more effort your customers need to put into finding you, the less likely they are to give you a chance.

5) Encourage your customers to leave feedback. You need to pay attention to the reviews you get, either the good or the bad. You need to respond in a timely manner. You need to work proactively to resolve issues.

6) You need to check on your business’s activities. You will have two types of customers. The first type will leave valid comments and critiques. The second type will complain to complain. You need to learn to separate the two.
